Roles Hub

Welcome to the Roles Hub for Be an SCP or Guard on Roblox. This section replaces a generic character roster with role-first reference pages—what each anomaly or human kit does, how teams counter it, and where to read deeper guides.

The experience launched January 31, 2026 (place 121461214257813). Official descriptions list eight playable SCPs—73, 096, 106, 457, 049, 035, 966, and 682—plus Guard baseline containment and MTF escalation teams. Use this hub to jump to the page that matches your queue choice.

Human roles

Guard

Standard Guard is the default containment role most players learn first. Guards hold doors, escort teammates, and maintain line-of-sight discipline against SCP-173 and SCP-096. Read the full breakdown on Guard role guide.

MTF (Mobile Task Force)

MTF kits focus on re-containment and heavier firepower when breaches spiral. Community tier lists rank MTF highly with coordination; solo MTF without Guard anchors often underperforms. Compare kits on Guard vs MTF tier list.

Connect roles to meta tools

Roles do not exist in a vacuum. Pair roster reading with:

  • SCP Tier List —community S/A/B/C opinions after patches.
  • Role Picker —checklist for Guard vs SCP vs MTF by temperament.
  • Getting Started —first-hour flow, controls, and safety warnings (including flashing lights near SCP-173).
  • Codes —optional boosts; they do not replace role knowledge.

Team composition tips

Balanced breach lobby: two Guard anchors, one flex Guard, one MTF finisher, SCP players spread across tiers instead of stacking only SCP-173.

Learning lobby: one Guard triangle practicing blink calls, one low-pressure SCP like SCP-457 for zone lessons, MTF held until comms exist.

Tryhard pub: MTF chases active SCP-096/173 while Guards mute-check for SCP-035 and headphone-check for SCP-966.

Accessibility and official warnings

The Roblox page warns about flashing lights near SCP-173. If you are photosensitive, adjust brightness, use distance, or avoid staring at blink VFX. This wiki repeats the warning because it affects both SCP and Guard players.
